So...I've created my first blog. Judging from others I have read, my life was neither exciting nor boring enough to document daily. That's why this blog is dedicated to an issue I feel strongly about rather than personal comings and goings.
That issue is the future of Parks and Recreation within the city of Conway. Specifically, how we can pay for it. I hope that we, as voters, will have an opportunity this summer to vote on a $13 million bond issue to do the following:
That issue is the future of Parks and Recreation within the city of Conway. Specifically, how we can pay for it. I hope that we, as voters, will have an opportunity this summer to vote on a $13 million bond issue to do the following:
- Renovate and finish the former YBMA Fairgrounds
- Build Youth Softball Complex at Siebenmorgen and Bob Courtway
- Purchase site for new Fairgrounds and other community wide events
- Expand Tucker Creek Trails System
We will flesh out plans for each of these later in the blog. Its doable. We can do it without raising taxes or fees. Its going to take a lot of work. Who's coming with us?
